Forklift Operator Certification (Powered Industrial Truck – PIT) Training
This training covers the safe operation of powered industrial trucks with an emphasis on hazard recognition, equipment stability, and workplace-specific operating conditions. OSHA Recommendation
OSHA requires that powered industrial truck operators be trained, evaluated, and certified by the employer or a qualified trainer before operating a forklift. OSHA also requires refresher training and re-evaluation when unsafe operation is observed, workplace conditions change, or different equipment is introduced (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178).
