OSHA Recommendation
OSHA requires employers to train employees who face a risk of electrical hazards so they can recognize and avoid unsafe conditions (29 CFR 1910 Subpart S and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart K). While OSHA does not mandate NFPA 70E, it recognizes NFPA 70E as an industry consensus standard that provides guidance on electrical safety practices and arc flash hazard awareness.
This training supports OSHA expectations by helping employers ensure workers understand basic electrical risks and appropriate safety precautions.
